Erdinç Aktuğ Quartest feat. Ayça Dönmez - Şebnem Orhan
This year the band will perform in a different sound in addition to their previous performances. Erdinç Aktuğ will remind the audience the compositions of Turkish jazz musicians' musical work by interpreting them with his band.
ERDINC AKTUG BIOGRAPHY
Erdinc Aktug who was born in Istanbul in 1962, had developed a passion for drums when he was little, however he could meet his passion when he grew up. After this he made progress in a short while with his determined studying and with his enthusiasm, and he had the chance of playing with important jazz musicians. He played with the vetaran musicians such as Tuna Ötenel, Yildiz İbrahimova and Sibel Köse, and he took place in the "Jazz Mix Culture" project with Kackar Illusion band and attended July Jazz Festival in Bulgary. Later he dealed with different kinds of music and he worked with Carlos Garcia Mayedo on latin music and he is still playing with the band VIENTO LATINO in Ankara.
AYCA DONMEZ BIOGRAPHY
Born in Ankara in 1980. She officially met polyphonic music at the age of 11 by courtesy of TRT Children's Choir's director Taner Solukcu. In 1997 she took part in a music contest and won the award. After her high school graduation she joined Young Pals which is the group that performed the first rock opera in Turkey. She took place in the Turkey eliminations of Eurovision 2000 as she was one of the 10 finalists. At the same year she won the first prize in the "Beatles Singing Contest". In 2001, she started working in Ankapella as a choirist. She attended the Turkey eliminations of Eurovision 2002. Furthermore she had become Turkey's National jury in Eurovision twice. She had the chance of working with Yildiz İbrahimova, Durul Gence and Sibel Köse during her college years. She vocalized Can Atilla's album songs in 2005, 2006, 2007. After her license degree of METU Department of Statistics, she graduated from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Bilkent University Department of Economics masters degree, then she started working as a faculty member in METU Department of Statistics.
SEBNEM Y. ORHAN BIOGRAPHY
She was born in Mersin in 1974. She completed her primary and high school education in Mersin, then she met violoncello in 1990 as she got into Gazi University Department of Music. During her license education, she worked on cello with the Presidental Symphony Orchestra Musician, Sinasi Cilden. She took place in several chamber music and orchestra concerts or solo recitals in and outside Turkey. Orhan, who played in Cilden's album is still a faculty member in Gazi University Department of Music, and she also gives violoncello and chamber music lessons.
