Sebnem Baykal, an information technologies professional, will be sharing with us her experiences about the TEDx journey, which has started in 2013 with TEDxAnkaraCitadel, an independently organised event under TED license. She will be talking about the story of TEDxAnkaraCitadel over the period of five years, with snapshots of the contributions from their valuable speakers, performance artists on various themes.
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or fewer) delivered by today's leading thinkers and doers. Many of these talks are given at TED's annual conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, and made available, free, on TED.com.
In the spirit of "Ideas worth spreading," TED has created TEDx , where x = independently organized TED event. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
