International Ankara Jazz Festival is honored to host Turkish Naval Forces Stars Light Music and Jazz Orchestra with great voices: Su İdil, Ülkü Aybala Sunat and Sibel Köse in its 22nd year. We are thankful to Turkish Naval Forces for the efforts to make this Bigband tradition living. We appreciate the support the support of Tepe Prime Avenue.
Turkish Naval Forces Stars Light Music and Jazz Orchestra has been established in 2008, at the Naval Forces Admiralty Headquarters. The orchestra, has built up by band sergeants who were educated in the in the field of jazz music. The members have been performing successfully with jazz and specially arranged traditional Turkish music repertoires. Turkish Naval Forces Stars Light Music and Jazz Orchestra has performed in festivals such as Bodrum Jazz Festival, Mersin International Music Festival and Marmaris Marine and Music Festival. They have also been abroad and contributed in many events in Egypt, Tunisia, Spain, Italy, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia. Three of the most precious jazz vocals of Turkey: Su İdil, Ülkü Aybala Sunat and Sibel Köse will be accompanying the Turkish Naval Forces Stars Light Music and Jazz Orchestra.
Attandance to the gig at the Tepe Prime Avenue is free of charge. No seating available.
