EMIR ERSOY BIOGRAPHY

October 14th, 1977, Emir Ersoy was born as the son of the Calypso King, Metin Ersoy. He was surrounded by latin music throughout his childhood. He assembled his first Cuban band in the name "Mojito" in 1998.He formed "Cuban-ist" in 2001 with Jozi Levi and right after he formed "Projecto Cubano" which is a big salsa band. Ersoy, who has made stage and album work with the popular singers in Turkey, gave several concerts with the band "CAL I ENTE" in 2003. In 2004 he worked with the band "Olodum"'s 8 members who had performed with Michael Jackson. He made stage work with the Brazilian singer "Mariane Cideria
Reis". He gave several concerts with the "future's Celia Cruz", Xiomara Contrera. His latin-jazz album "Cuban Portrait" has been released in April 2009. All the songs in the album belongs to Emre Ersoy. Cuban Portrait which is the first jazz-latin album made in Turkey had really good reviews from the music critics in the US, Belgium, Hungary, Holland and Japan.
