Miles Davis; one of the most influential, impressive and respectful figures in history of jazz. A trumpet master who has an such an important impact that since 1940s in every cornerstone of jazz music it has been debated, who has broken sales records with his album Kind of Blue, and who became a symbol in history of jazz. Emre Kartari and his group will play compositions of legendary Miles Davis in CerModern and İmer Demirer will join the group. İmer Demirer is known as one of the most important and notable trumpet players in Turkish Jazz music. His first album You, Me & Char is released in October 2009.
Born in Ankara, Emre Kartarı began his drum education in the US and continued at the Virginia Commonwealth University. Meanwhile, he toured the US with the Spoken-Word, and Jazz Poets Society. Emre Kartarı holds an M.A. in jazz performance and composition from New York University and received the Barney Josephson Award in 2003. His first CD as a leader, Perpetual Anxiety was released in 2005. His second album was released in the US in 2006. Now, he lectures at the Jazz Department of Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory.
