Why do we participate in cultural events? What is the contribution of art to social life in an environment where art is seen as a "luxury", where it is believed that it occupies a small space on top of the hierarchy of needs? What are the basic policies for achieving the goal of "culture for all"? The answers to these questions and more will be addressed in this interview within the context of the 22nd International Ankara Jazz Festival.
In the light of the report published in the context of the Cultural Policy Studies of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), the new approaches in culture and art programming, the results of localization, unexpected networks created by education and cooperation, and digital the facilities provided by the technologies will be carried on the agenda. In the light of the projects developed within the scope of the Istanbul Jazz Festival, thoughts on a culture-art field imaginable where every part of the society can participate can also be produced.
