Şenay Lambaoğlu completed master's degree at Yıldız Teknik University in 2005. She has participated in various projects with many famous name in jazz music career. Lambaoğlu joins the 22nd International Ankara Jazz Festival within the theme of Woman and Jazz. We thank Bis by Newcastle for hosting this concert.
Şenay Lambaoğlu accepted as one of the unique voices of her time thanks to her albums and performances in jazz festivals which she has attended for many years. Besides her impressive singing she successfully builds the bridge between jazz and other genres. The artist, who has reached a large fan base with her albums "İçimde Aşk Var/Love is in me" and "Zarf Tümleci/Adverbial Clause", has been standing out as a women singer-poet in these albums. In her third album, "Başka Türlü Bir Şey/Another Kind of a Thing" Lambaoğlu honored memories of great poets such as Can Yücel, Nazim Hikmet, Hayyam, Füruğ Ferruhzad by giving a new life to unforgettable poems. Besides her last three albums, several songs from her recent work and the upcoming album "Rüyalarıma Gir/Haunt My Dreams" will be in the repertoire of the concert and the festival's special selection for "the women" theme will bring this colorful performance to the audience.
