We have been waiting for Enrico Rava since the beginning of the Ankara Jazz Festival. Here he is with a great band, and an unforgettable concert. We appreciate the support of Italian Embassy and Italian Istanbul Culture Office to the concert.
21. International Ankara Jazz Festival happily hosts world’s fomous Italian trumpetist Enrico Rava in Ankara for the first time. Besides a young and great talent Francesco Diodati on guitar, on base we’ll listen Gabriele Evangelista, as one of the most creative and eclectic Italian bass players. He is Rava’s latest talent discovery, and he is very esteemed for his extraordinary abilities, such as precision, a mad creativity and an amazing interplay. Enrico Morello is a drummer by the polished drumming. He plays his instrument with strong passion and extreme competence and is an inquiring musician. His love for tradition gives him, not only, an amazing “swing ability”, but also a great sense of dynamic choices.
