Gencer who is the first pianist chanteur of Turkey, has so many contributions to jazz music. Young jazz vocal İpek Dinç Yüce will be featuring İlham Gencer at the same stgae. We appreciate the support of Samm's Bistro.
İlham gencer born in 1926 and started his music career in 1931 when he was 5 with a piano bought by his mother. He mentioned once that ' I never had a proffesional music educaiton so I play like a jam session and without a lack of knowing piece of a written music.' His club named ' Çatı Kulübü' contributes so many valuable musicians to Turkey. He also willing to re-open the club after 50 years.
Her professional music career started when she met Ilham Gencer in 2005. At the beginning of her career, She was a finalist of Nardis Jazz Club's Young Jazz Vocalist contest in 2006. She studied jazz for one year and a half with Selçuk Sun. Ipek Dinc, who has been performing at The Marmara Hotel with Sevket Ugurluer Trio six days a week since October 2009, also performs as Barbra Streisand in "Our Soul of the Rat Pack Show" directed by Haldun Dormen.
