Aga Zaryan is one of world stars that the festival brings to Ankara for the first time. Especially with her 'Throw It Away' cover that we hear on the radios, we got fascinated with this captivating voice that brought the classical jazz tunes to contemporary audience. We are going to have the chance to see her on the festival stage within the scope of the celebration events of the 600th anniversary of Turkish - Polish Relations.
Polish jazz singer Aga Zaryan, a highly praised artist in the world of jazz following the traditions of Shirley Horn, Carmen McRae and Joni Mitchell, is at the climax of her career. She is awarded with numerous golden and platinum records and she is selected as the 'Jazz Vocal of the Year' by the European Jazz Forum Magazine readersfor four consecutive years. Having received the most prestigious award of Polish music 'Frédéric Chopin' in 2008, she is also selected as the 'Woman of the Year' by the most important newspaper of Poland.
