Jazz lovers in Ankara are closely acquainted with Bora Çeliker. This year Çeliker will be in Ankara with his last album Patika. In this album, the tunes of Post Bop, Avant Garde, Psychedelic Rock and Blues can be easily perceived. Bora Çeliker Quartet will add color to the festival with their distinctive style. We appreciate the support of TURMAKS and TAA.
Bora Çeliker has started playing guitar in 1988. He founded three blues groups named Crawling Snakes, The Jukes (1996) and The King Bees (1997). He performed at festivals, gave concerts and went on tours with The King Bees. In 1999, he turned to jazz with the group which he founded with Janusz Szprot. As a part of Alan Ginter Quartet, he worked with Tuna Ötenel in 2001. In the same year, Çeliker turned back to Istanbul and started broadcasting on Radio Kozmos. He is continuing his education at Bilgi University Music Department and is working together with many musicians such as Sarp Maden, Nilüfer Verdi, Neşet Ruacan, Cem Aksel, Erdal Akyol, Burak Bedikyan, Kağan Yıldız, Ferit Odman, İmer Demirer, Selim Selçuk and Ricky Ford.
