TRT Istanbul Jazz Orchestra was founded in 1982. Bringing the talented and successful musicians together, the orchestra have performed all around the country by participating the international festivals and broadcasted radio and television programs. The orchestra's rich repertoire is formed by all jazz classics and those pieces composed by modern Turkish composers. Neşet Ruacan, the famous jazz guitarist of Turkey, have been the director of the orchestra since 1997. Ayşe Gencer and Aydilge Sarp will be joinging the Orchestra.
